SPMU Brows – Do’s & Don’ts

Do’s

  • Ask to see a portfolio of previous clients from your makeup technician.
  • Ensure you have a patch test. This is to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction to the pigments.
  • Ask about the training that the technicians have at the clinic. Also check to see if these are approved by any awarding bodies.
  • Your technician will draw a template shape on your brow before starting the tattooing. Make sure you are happy with this and make any changes if needed.
  • Remember the treatment is a two-three step process with a touch-up appointment after the first four weeks. This retouching finalises the treatment.

Don’ts

  • Choose your technician based on the price. Many stylists have different skill levels therefore prices will vary. What you pay is what you get.
  • Forget to look after your new brows. Aftercare is vital for the results to last up to 12-18 months. Your stylist will give you a list of guidelines to follow.
  • Have unrealistic expectations. The aim of semi permanent makeup is to create a natural effect that enhances your features.
  • Ignore the advice of your stylist! They are professional artist and have many years experience.
  • Don’t scratch or pick at your eyebrows after treatment. Allow them to heal in their own time for the best result.
